Thermal imaging can add useful context in the right conditions, where it’s agreed as part of scope.

Thermal images are evidence of surface temperature patterns at the time of capture — they need context, not guesswork.

When it can help

  • Highlighting visible anomalies that warrant a closer look
  • Supporting notes and assumptions with additional evidence
  • Providing a clearer record for installers and homeowners

Limits to be aware of

  • Results depend on conditions at the time of capture
  • Images need matching context photos and notes
  • Thermal imaging is not automatically included unless agreed

How we document it (when included)

  • Thermal image paired with a normal context photo
  • Notes describing what’s being shown and where
  • Placed into the pack structure so it’s easy to find
